About Alpha Nova (AlphaNova)
Alpha Nova, also written as AlphaNova, is a free stock market research app that combines market data, charts, company headlines and personal research tools in your browser. It helps you investigate stocks and track ideas; broker handoffs require you to review and confirm orders with your broker.

What can you do with Alpha Nova?
- Explore historical price bars across eight chart ranges and inspect EMA, Bollinger Bands, RSI and volume.
- Screen Nifty 500 stocks using momentum, relative strength, trend, volume and delivery metrics.
- Investigate NSE delivery activity against each stock’s own recent baseline.
- Explore statistical price forecasts over 5, 10, 20 or 30 weekdays, with a projected median and 95% model interval.
- Read company headlines, with filings and material events shown ahead of generic price pages.
- Keep a watchlist and track holdings in your browser. Export a backup from the Portfolio workspace.
- Set price alerts and optionally enable push notifications on a supported device.
Where does the data come from?
Price history and quotes use public Yahoo Finance endpoints. Indian delivery figures use NSE security-wise delivery bhavcopy data, and the screener uses the official Nifty 500 list. Company headlines link to their publishers, with Indian news falling back to Google News RSS when needed. The app shows source labels and timestamps where available.
How should you interpret the output?
Prices and headlines may be delayed, incomplete or unavailable because upstream public services can throttle or change. A screen, score or signal is a research filter, not a recommendation. Check exchange data, company filings and your own risk criteria before making an investment decision.
What happens to your personal data?
Watchlists, holdings and alert history are stored on your device by default. If you enable push notifications, the app sends the information needed for those alerts to its server. The Portfolio workspace offers export and import so you can keep your own backup. The planner can hand off a trade ticket to supported broker workflows. Any login and order confirmation happen with the broker; Alpha Nova cannot verify execution or fills.
