Nifty 500 stock screener
Alpha Nova’s Nifty 500 screener helps you narrow a broad stock universe into a research shortlist. Filter by price momentum, trend, relative strength, volume and delivery, then inspect the underlying company and chart.
What can you screen for?
- Momentum: one-month, three-month and six-month price returns.
- Relative strength: three-month stock return minus the Nifty 50 return over the same period.
- Trend: position above or below the 50-day and 200-day moving averages, plus a golden-cross flag.
- Technical context: RSI and distance from the highest available daily close over up to 252 observations.
- Participation: latest volume against its 20-session average, and NSE delivery quantity and percentage.
How does the composite score work?
The 0–100 score ranks stocks against the available universe using one-, three- and six-month momentum, three-month relative strength, proximity to the 52-week high and delivery surge. It also adjusts for the 200-day moving-average trend and a golden cross. A higher score means stronger readings on those selected factors; it is not a forecast of future returns.
How do you use it?
- Open the screener and choose a preset or create your own conditions.
- Check the date, coverage and source shown with the results.
- Open a company to review its price history, technical indicators and headlines.
- Save a screen for repeat use or export the current results as CSV.
Data and limitations
The screener uses approximately one year of Yahoo Finance daily closes and NSE end-of-day delivery data. The Nifty 500 universe normally follows the official index list. If that list is unavailable, the app may use the latest session’s top 500 EQ stocks by turnover; check the displayed universe label. Some stocks may lack enough history or delivery observations, and data can be delayed or unavailable. Results are research filters, not investment advice.
