How to find and track a share price
- Open the terminal and select Find instrument. Enter a company name or ticker symbol.
- Choose the NSE listing and check the currency, quote time and session status shown in the workspace.
- Switch the chart range to compare intraday movement with longer price history. Hover over a bar to inspect its open, high, low and close.
- Add the stock to your watchlist to return to it later. Create a price alert if you want to track a threshold.
Go beyond the latest stock price
A quote is one observation. Alpha Nova places it beside historical charts, volume, moving averages, RSI and company headlines so you can investigate the context. Use the Nifty 500 stock screener to compare companies by momentum and trend, then inspect individual charts.
The NSE delivery radar adds end-of-day delivery quantity and delivery percentage. It compares activity with each stock’s recent history; it does not identify particular buyers or guarantee a future price move.
Stock price questions
Are these real-time stock prices?
Alpha Nova uses public Yahoo Finance quote and chart endpoints. The active app refreshes quotes every five minutes, but provider and cache delays may be longer. Refresh frequency is not a guarantee of real-time exchange data.
Can I look up stocks by company name?
Yes. The instrument search accepts company names and ticker symbols from the app’s NSE company directory and supported global instruments. Choose the intended listing when a company has similar names or symbols.
Can I track prices on my phone?
Yes. Open the Alpha Nova stock market app in your mobile browser. Watchlists are saved on that device, and supported browsers can add the app to the home screen.
Where can I check the data sources?
Read About Alpha Nova and its data for quote, chart, delivery and news sources, storage details and known limitations. Missing data is shown as unavailable rather than replaced with simulated prices.
